AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING.

 


Contractor with an ID number

If you have an ID number with Montana One Call, please select this option. Your user ID will be
your ID number assigned by Montana One Call and your password will be the last four (4) digits
in you main phone number on file with Montana One Call. If unsure of the phone number digits,
please call Montana One Call - 406-752-6811.

  • A minimum of two (2) full business days (5 for engineering requests), not including the day the locate was placed, and excluding Saturdays, Sundays and the six (6) established Montana holidays as revised.

  • Your entire property will not be located, only the area in which you plan to excavate.

  • You are required to identify your dig area. You can use white paint, lathe, flags, string,
    rope or similar items, which can be easily seen by locators.

  • During the excavation process you are required to maintain the location of where the
    locators have marked buried facilities.

  • A line locate is valid for 30 days. If you have not excavated within this time period
    please submit another locate request.

  • A contractor/excavator may not excavate until all known facilities have been located and marked.

  • Upon receipt of notice from the contractor/excavator, the facility owner shall respond within 2
    business days by locating and marking the facility or by notifying the contractor/excavator
    that locating and marking is unnecessary.

  • If a contractor/excavator discovers an underground facility that has not been located and
    marked, the contractor/excavator shall stop excavating in the vicinity of the facility and notify
    the facility owner or the one-call notification center.

  • If you do not receive a confirmation via email within 3 hours of submitting you request,
    there may be a problem processing your request. Please contact Montana One Call at
